The trend for simpler
designs continued with subtle piping and plain trim at
collar and cuff. Kappa’s body hugging Kombat 2000
range made its appearance in 2002 when it was worn by
Tottenham Hotspur (inevitably). The skin tight Lycra
outfit was intended to emphasise the physique of the players
but proved less popular with fans.
In 2003 Fulham
introduced a dramatic asymmetrical design, a trend that was
taken up by other clubs the following season.

Last season at The Manor. Finished 24th in
Division Two (level 3), relegated to Division Three.
New Balance produced a new home kit for this
season - sponsored by Domino - of yellow shirt with
dark blue sleeves & collar, blue shorts with a wide yellow
stripe on either side, and blue socks with a yellow turnover
& blue banding. The blue & white away kit from the
previous season was used, but with the new sponsors logo.
This season saw the introduction of specific
squad numbers for players, and was also the first in which
players' names were shown on the shirt.

'Away' shirt
This shirt was
a prototype made for this season, and recalled
previous styles used by Headington Utd in the
early 1900s. Unfortunately, this design
was not chosen, and the design which was finally
settled on, currently has the 'honour' of
leading the vote for the "worst Oxford shirt
ever!" (see home page).

also saw totally new kits all round -
with TFG the new supplier and Buildbase as the new shirt
sponsor, and also the new club crest.
The home shirt was in a shimmering yellow having blue under
arm panels, with blue shorts and yellow socks. The
'away' kit, using a similar material, reverted to an all
white strip with yellow & blue reversed seams on the shirt.

shorts and socks was used in many of the away fixtures.
The nominated 'away' kit was a return to all white (last
