The trend for simpler
designs continued with subtle piping and plain trim at
collar and cuff. Kappa’s body hugging Kombat 2000
range made its appearance in 2002 when it was worn by
Tottenham Hotspur (inevitably). The skin tight Lycra
outfit was intended to emphasise the physique of the players
but proved less popular with fans.
In 2003 Fulham
introduced a dramatic asymmetrical design, a trend that was
taken up by other clubs the following season.

New home and away kits, produced by Carlotti.
The home kit had yellow shirts with navy blue flashes, navy
blue shorts with yellow flashes and navy blue socks with
yellow banding. A variation of this kit, with yellow
shorts and socks was used in many of the away fixtures.
The nominated 'away' kit was a return to all white (last
used five seasons previously), with navy blue flashes on the
shirts and shorts - and was used for this one season only as
the 'away' colours.

National (Blue Square Premier) (level 5). Finished 3rd
and won the play-offs - promoted to League 2.
A new three year deal with Nike
(supplied by JustSport), and
therefore both new home and away strips.
Both kits this season return to simpler designs; the yellow
home shirt having navy blue side panels and outer arm
stripe, with both the shorts and socks plain navy blue.
The away kit is even more classical, being plain white,
with just black turnovers on the socks. Also, for the
first season in a decade, the shorts are without numbers.
Buildbase continue as the main sponsor on the home shirt,
with the away shirt sponsor being their sister company, Plumbase.
Additional kit sponsors are Jack FM, whose logo moves from
the rear of the shirt to the shorts for this season, with
Hartwell plc taking their place at the top of the rear of
the shirt.
